If you join Speak Slow as an Interpreter, you do so as independent contractor. You set the work schedule that best fits your needs! To start or stop working is very easy; you just have to mark yourself as active or inactive in the app. When marked as active, it means you are available to assist customers. When marked as inactive you won't receive any calls.

You can set your own price on per minute basis. You charge by the amount of minutes talked during the calls you receive. Although you define the fare for your services, there is an upper limit that can’t be surpassed set by Speak Slow. If you disagree with this upper limit, please contact us through contact@speakslow.com.

Signup in the app as a customer, then go to Settings, switch to Interpreter and start the registration as an Interpreter. Once you finish the registration process in the app, you must take an online test and a member of the Speak Slow team might contact you by phone to assess your skills. The languages skills alone are not enough to become an Interpreter. You must be committed to professionalism, respect and honor our Code of Ethics for Interpreters and Terms of Service.

When you are approved as an Interpreter you can start receiving calls from clients through our platform! The quality of your service is very important and ethics plays a crucial role. Bear in mind that you must keep your customers reviews reasonably high to be able to keep using the platform. Speak Slow works hard to achieve customer satisfaction and do their best to ensure the quality of the service.
